Speakers Series - Connie Korenstein ~ Researcher & Living History Expert

This is the third in a series of 6 Stagecoach Speakers events to be held at the museum in 2021-2022 with accomplished speakers presenting a variety of topics of historical interest.

Connie Korenstein is a retired educator who devotes her time to historic research, tours, living history presentations, historic fashion consulting and community events. She has a collection of historical characters that she has researched and portrays in costume, sometimes solo and sometimes with a cast of other characters. Connie is a docent at Heritage Square and the Channel Islands Maritime Museum in Oxnard, as well as the Dudley House in Ventura.

Connie will perform in period attire as Madame Valentina Lovelace and will teach us everything we need to know to find true love in Victorian /Edwardian times. Topics to be covered include courtship etiquette, the intriguing language of flowers, and secret messages of the hand fan. Her musical friends will accompany her with romantic songs of the era and the audience is invited to sing along.

This delightful event will take place on the Grand Porch and in the case of inclement weather shall be postponed. COVID protocols will be in place.
