The Plein Air Painters of Ventura graced our complex for two weeks in a row in August. Their members arrived, brushes in hand, to render in ink, watercolor and oil the beautiful landscape scenes that are found here.
Three of the painters were here on August 16 to paint various scenes; one of a vintage Chevy truck; one wildlife scene on the trails and one a view of the Museum itself.
Susan Torkey, Luis Cujino, and retired Professor Norm Fullner shared their images and their thoughts on the wonderful concept of painting outdoors, something which has been practiced for many centuries throughout Europe and the United States.
